The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce has partnerships with the Sylvania area public and private schools to encourage educational excellence and honor students who live in the Sylvania area. Outstanding Students of the Month from Northview and Southview High Schools are recognized at each monthly chamber luncheon.
 
Two $2000 Scholarships are awarded at a spring luncheon to graduating seniors, who live in the Sylvania area. The scholarship criteria is based on academic performance, community service and an essay on “What being a Sylvania Student has meant to you”. The winners are announced at the  Salute to Education luncheon held in the spring.

Additionally, at the Education luncheon, Outstanding Teachers from the Sylvania school district are honored.
