The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to bring area businesses and the community together to build a better business climate and as such acts as the voice of local business. The current state of the economy makes the Chamber even more valuable to local business as it continues to provide that community connection that is necessary for economic development, retail achievement, and business growth.
The Sylvania Area Chamber evolves as business needs change. The organization and its members are faced with more concerns; increased tax and utility rates, the need for retail assistance and business competition from other NW Ohio cities. The Chamber helps with the advancement of the commercial, industrial, political and civic interests of the combined community of the City of Sylvania and Sylvania Township.
The Sylvania Area Chamber’s strength is its almost 600 business members that all share the
same passion and vision for the community. Activism is the main focus of the Chamber and
each year there are many different community issues to assist with and the talented and imaginative Chamber leadership recognizes that local business resources must be used for
the advancement and development of the Sylvania area.
The Chamber now provides healthcare benefits, worker’s compensation and more than 60
other benefits in partnership with other members. This collaboration encourages local
cooperation while saving money on the business bottom line. All information about the
chamber and its benefits is listed on our website. We hope you join us soon.
